Hi there, I’m Kyle.
My kids like to tease me because I tell them I don’t really have favorites, but it turns out, I do! Homemade chocolate chip cookies (GF!), reading, traveling with my family, my comfies (aka yoga pants), friends, messy buns and my family are some of my favorite things.
I grew up in central California and I don’t think I actually knew anyone who was homeschooled. There definitely was a stigma around it at that time and it wouldn’t be until I met a dear friend many years later (Hi, Sarah!), who was homeschooled herself, that I began to consider it for my own kids.
Fast-forward to today and I’ll be embarking on our tenth year of homeschooling in the fall of 2024. Where has the time gone?
Before I began homeschooling, I was (and still am) a credentialed teacher in the state of California. I taught middle school and loved it - truly! My experiences have ranged from public to private, charter to homeschool charter and somewhere in there I earned a master’s degree in education from the University of San Diego.
I’m grateful for all the women who have poured into me over the years and for those who continue to do so. It’s my joy to do the same for you.
